In the rapidly evolving world of technology and dynamic labor market needs, vocational education must prepare students for successful careers. One innovative method enhancing this preparation is the WebQuest learning methodology.
The Erasmus+ project Development of WebQuest Lessons in the VET Classroom focuses on enriching vocational education and training (VET) through innovative, Internet-based teaching practices. This project involves collaboration between PGSST “Nikola Y. Vaptsarov” in Bulgaria, Neotalentway S.L. in Spain, and Associação Intercultural Amigos da Mobilidade in Portugal.
These organizations will equip VET teachers with the tools to implement WebQuest lessons, guided by a comprehensive WebQuest Guide. This guide will offer practical steps for creating and adapting WebQuests to fit educational needs.
The project includes sharing best practices among partner organizations, developing curriculum, and providing online training for teachers. This training will focus on using WebQuests for case-based and task-based learning.
WebQuests helps students develop essential digital skills, such as searching, evaluating, and utilizing online information. They also promote critical thinking, informed decision-making, and enhance motivation, communication, and collaboration skills in students.
1st TPM Kick-off Online Meeting
During the first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the Development of WebQuest Lessons in the VET Classroom project, which was held online, we presented the project’s objectives, assigned tasks, and defined each partner’s responsibilities as well as the dissemination strategy. Additionally, we scheduled and organized the second TPM to take place in Granada, Spain.
2nd TPM WebQuest – Granada, Spain
During the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) for the Development of WebQuest Lessons in the VET Classroom project held in Granada, Spain, the initial version of the WebQuest Guide was presented. All partners discussed its strengths and areas for improvement, as well as suggestions for additional content.
We showcased and deliberated on WebQuest solutions for specific vocational training subjects, sharing digital tools that could be used for developing the WebQuest and that students could interact with. Additionally, we discussed the project’s dissemination strategy.
