Located in the Azores, a group of islands with a very special charm and fabulous landscapes, the Island of São Miguel know as “Green Island” is, without a doubt, the island that you cannot miss in your Erasmus project.
Its various viewpoints offer a breathtaking view over an ocean inhabited by sperm whales, whales, and dolphins. You can even swim in one of its natural pools, which originated from the island’s volcanic activity. Black sand beaches, waterfalls, green hills, forests or sunny cliffs guarantee a dream mobility for nature lovers.
Ponta Delgada is located on the south coast of São Miguel Island. There is a lot to explore and do in the city/county, discover monuments, the fantastic old churches, a 16th century fort and a museum that documents the natural history of the Azores. From the Marina you can embark on a tour / expedition to see the whales and dolphins that gather in the archipelago’s waters.
