The Intermediate English (B1 + B2) course is intended for learners who already have a solid understanding of basic English and wish to develop greater fluency, precision, and confidence. The course focuses on functional language use, both spoken and written, and includes listening to authentic materials, expanding vocabulary, and reinforcing grammar for more complex communication.
Aligned with Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels B1 and B2, this course helps learners actively engage in conversations, understand the main ideas of various texts and audio, and express themselves with clarity in personal, academic, and professional contexts.

Course Objectives

The general objective of this course is to build learners’ confidence and competence to communicate effectively in a wide range of real-life situations. Learners will improve their ability to:

  • Understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics;
  • Engage in conversations with native speakers with a degree of fluency and spontaneity without strain;
  • Produce clear, detailed texts on various subjects, including reports and essays;
  • Express opinions, explain viewpoints, and provide arguments in discussions;
  • Understand and use more nuanced vocabulary and grammar structures.

Module 1 – Personal Experiences and Narratives

  • Talking about past events and experiences
  • Using past tenses (Past Simple, Present Perfect)
  • Telling stories and anecdotes
  • Expressing opinions and emotions

Module 2 – Work, Education, and Daily Commitments

  • Workplace and study-related vocabulary
  • Expressing preferences and making comparisons
  • Writing emails, CVs, and summaries
  • Modal verbs for obligation and permission

Module 3 – Travel, Health, and Services

  • Planning a trip and making reservations
  • Solving problems at airports, hotels, and restaurants
  • Describing symptoms and giving advice
  • Formal and informal complaints

Module 4 – Media, Technology, and Society

  • Describing media habits and technology use
  • Understanding and discussing news and current issues
  • Talking about advantages/disadvantages
  • Giving structured opinions in discussion

Module 5 – Communication Strategies and Interactions

  • Making suggestions and giving advice
  • Agreeing/disagreeing politely
  • Clarifying and checking understanding
  • Roleplays in real-life scenarios

Module 6 – Formal and Informal Communication

  • Understanding and using different registers
  • Formal letters and emails
  • Telephone conversations
  • Presentation skills and public speaking basics

Price

Each quotation is personalized and depends on several factors, such as the number of participants, the number of training hours, the location of the course, and any additional services requested.
The training can be funded through programs such as Erasmus+ (KA1 – Learning Mobility), among other European support mechanisms. For more information about funding, participants should contact their sending organization or their country’s National Agency directly.

Certificate

A Certificate of Participation is awarded to participants who attend at least 80% of the sessions and demonstrate consistent engagement and commitment throughout the training.


Schedule

The time of classes, whether in the morning or afternoon is determined by the provider. The schedule may vary considerably based on participants’ preferences and the trainer’s discretion regarding any modifications.
