Between 24 May and 13 June, Mobility Friends, in partnership with Escola Profissional de Esposende, a Escola Secundária de Alberto Sampaio e a Escola Secundária de Barcelinhos, successfully organised an international mobility experience under Project No. 2025-1-PT01-KA121-VET-000311547, as part of the Erasmus+ VET Accreditation programme.
The initiative brought together 27 Portuguese vocational education students from the fields of Tourism, Information Technology, Social and Cultural Animation, and Sports Management. During their mobility, students completed work-based learning placements in Varna, Bulgaria, and Torremolinos, Spain, gaining valuable professional experience while developing their intercultural and personal skills.
Alongside the student mobilities, 10 teachers also participated in the programme. Five teachers accompanied the students throughout their mobility, while another five took part in job shadowing and training courses, expanding the impact of the project beyond students and contributing to the professional development of educational staff.
For teachers, the experience offered the opportunity to explore innovative teaching methodologies, exchange best practices with international colleagues, and strengthen cooperation between vocational education and training institutions across Europe.
At Mobility Friends, we believe that Erasmus+ is much more than an international mobility programme. It is a powerful tool for personal growth, professional development, and intercultural learning. Through projects like this, we remain committed to creating meaningful international experiences that foster new skills, independence, collaboration, and a broader European perspective for both students and educators.
