On May 1st, a national holiday, Mobility Friends proudly took part for the first time in Barcelos’ largest and most emblematic festival, the Festa das Cruzes, joining the iconic Batalha das Flores (Flower Battle) parade.
As one of the highlights of the celebrations, this vibrant event brings thousands of people to the city every year. Guided by our staff, Mobility Friends took part in the parade alongside international friends from Sweden and Poland, as well as other participants from our Campus who were eager to join the experience and watch the parade.
With a colourful float prepared by our team and accompanied by our mascot, Mobi, we brought energy, joy, and a true festive spirit to the streets of Barcelos. Throughout the parade, flowers filled the air, creating a lively and unforgettable atmosphere for everyone involved.
What made this moment especially meaningful was the enthusiasm of our international friends, who fully embraced this unique cultural tradition. Their involvement not only enriched the celebration but also fostered genuine connections, cultural exchange, and memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
