Mobility Friends can provide participants with accommodation in multiple places, according to the budget and proximity to the place of activities. The accommodations are located in various Portuguese cities, like Barcelos, Braga, Apúlia, Portimão in Algarve region, or in Funchal, on Madeira Island.
Mostly all our accommodations are located near city centers and/or ocean beaches, so that our participants can enjoy the Portuguese experience at its fullest. Our guests can enjoy all the comfort of their "Portuguese homes" using the free Internet and other essentials like private bathrooms or TVs or fridges.
Transfers and transport
Mobility Friends can provide transfers with pickup or minibus from the bus station, train station, portuguese airports as Porto, Lisbon, Faro or Funchal and spanish airports as Vigo, Santiago de Compostela, Seville or Madrid, to your accommodation.
Trainings and language courses
Mobility Friends can provide trainings in diverse domains ( I.T., Marketing, Education, Sports, Personal development). Our intensive Portuguese language course has different levels, from beginner to professional. A wide range of courses are offered, which meet any kind of personal needs.
Classes are held from Monday to Friday.
We can provide also language courses of english, spanish, french, Italian, polish, Hungarian, turkish and many others, in small groups with fully qualified teachers.
Mobility Friends offers cultural trips and visits to Braga, the third largest city in Portugal. Here, the participants can enjoy the city center, the Cathedral of Bom Jesus do Monte and many more cultural atractions.
Our association organizes cultural visits to Guimaraes, the city that is recognized as the birth place of Portugal. During the trip, participants can enjoy the old city and the castle of the first king of Portugal, Dom Afonso Henriques.
Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and most important city in the North of the country. It is a very old city, its roots being marked by romans and celtic inhabitants. The city is impressive in its architecture and culture. It is home of one the most important schools of architecture, and one of the most importand football teams of Portugal, FC Porto. The Porto wine is produced in the nearby Douro river valley.
Ponte de Lima
With Mobility Friends you can enjoy a cultural visit in Ponte de Lima, the first village of Portugal. This place is very famous because of a legend related to the river Lima, who passes through the city. Roman legions considered this river to be the mythical river Lethe.
Viana do Castelo
Mobility Friends is your guide to Viana do Castelo, a fascinating city in the North of Portugal, on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. The city is host to Santuário de Santa Luzia, a beautiful church placed in a location that National Geographic magazine considered to be the 3rd best view in the world.
Valença & Tuy(Spain)
Mobility Friends is organising cultural trips to Valença and Tuy(Spain). These cities are at the border between Spain and Portugal, and have a long history of battles, being located along the river Minho. The participants have the chance to cross the border between Spain in Portugal by foot.
Mobility Friends invites you for a cultural visit in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city's rich history and beautiful architecture can be seen in all it's narrow streets. Our organisation helps you take a piece of this wonderful city and have it forever in your heart. The perfume and romance of Lisbon has seduced many artists, along the years, being one of the most important cultural centers of the world.
Our association is head-quartered in Barcelos, Braga District. Barcelos is a city with a long history, and the place where the legend of the rooster was born. The city is well known in Portugal because of this legend, that made the rooster one of the simbols of Portugal.
Work placements and work visits/job shadowing/study visits
Our organisation has extensive experience in finding the right work placement for our students.
Placements depend completely on the trainee's language skills and on their vocational training and experience.
If necessary, Intercultural Association Mobility Friends will arrange work placements to be changed in order to better suit the needs and wishes of each participant.
We offer placements practically in each economical sector.
The position offered is likely to be influenced by the applicants level of English as well as (if applicable) Portuguese, French or Spanish language, length of the internship, as well as previous professional experience and education.
Work placements are offered in private sector companies, governmental organizations, NGO's, schools, colleges, and universities.
At the end of the programme, we provide certificates for the participants in internship both issued by Intercultural Association Mobility Friends and also from the organisation in which the participants will develop the internship, a certificate for accrediting the Pedagogical, Linguistic and Cultural training and the Europass Mobility Certificate.
Nuno Varajão Barbosa
Dr. Nuno Varajao Barbosa is a trained teacher of economics with over 25 years of professional experience. He is also a specialist in the field of e-learning and EU projects. He posses an extensive knowledge of the educational needs of the Portuguese market, but also markets in other EU countries.
In the association he is responsible for supervision over the course of projects and financial supervision. His primary responsibilities include preparing budgets and invoices. As a specialist on e-learning, he participated in August 2015 in the International Conference on the Implementation of e-learning in Vocational Training, where he held the role of the keynote speaker. As an expert in the field of EU projects he is an author of several projects for mobility and co-author of Strategic Partnership projects.
Together with mister Fernando Carvalho he founded Mobility Friends in 2012 and since then he is working for its development. He is a very professional person, always willing to help and share his vast experience. During those few years he has built an extensive network of contacts both local and international. He is fluent in Spanish, French and English.

Mr Fernando Carvalho is a physical education teacher with many years of professional experience. In the educational institution where he works now he is also the chairman of the European Club, which successfully carries out projects abroad.
In the association he is responsible for organizing internships for the beneficiaries. He is also a substantive supervisor. His enormous commitment, knowledge of curricula finds the ratio in choosing the best and most effective jobs for trainees.
He is the author of many EU projects - especially projects of mobility of students and teachers. He is fluent in Spanish and English. He is a person who shares a great deal of professionalism and commitment.
Miss Flora Vecchio is a trained linguist. She is fluent in Italian, English, Portuguese and Japanese.
The scope of her responsibilities in the association is to coordinate internships of the arriving participants. She is also responsible for preparing Certificates, Europasses and she is in constant contact with mentors in companies cooperating with Mobility Friends.
As a professional she primarily focuses on the professional development of participants. Her dedication always results in maximizing the learning process among the beneficiaries.

Project Coordinator for the European Market
Mrs Sylwia Stefaniak is a qualified teacher of English and a psychologist. She is fluent in English and communicative in Portuguese and Italian.
For 3 years she has been coordinating EU projects in the association. She has a degree and she is responsible for managing the departament of European Projects. She also mentors trainees and participants coming to Portugal for EVS. Her additional role in the association is mentoring the participants, write internship programs and cultural programs. Additionally, she is engaged in writing projects.
Ms. Stefaniak is a person of versatile interests, who constantly undertakes training in the creation of EU projects. In addition, she presents a great interest in implementing good practices and innovative educational solutions. She is professional, communicative and fully committed.

Adrienn Sas is a qualified teacher of English and German. She is fluent in Hungarian, English and German. She has been working as project manager assistant focusing on coordinating of projects at the Association. She is also responsible for building contacts all over in Europe, mainly in Hungary.

Şahin Keskin is a PhD student in International Relations. He speaks English, Turkish and Turkic Languages.
He works as a Project Researcher in the department of European Projects in Mobility Friends. He mainly focuses on Turkey and Turkish people who are interested in Erasmus+ projects in Portugal. He raises awareness about opportunities of Mobility Friends to future participants.
In addition, Şahin looks for students who want to do internships in Portugal within Erasmus+ internship program.
Teacher of foreign languages
Mr Bruno Conceicao is a teacher of English and Spanish. In the association he is engaged in the field of language training in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
His classes are very popular because they are always conducted in a professional and conducive to learning atmosphere. Mr. Conceicao emphasis the personal development of the stagers and all the time he is developing the field of new approaches to learning foreign languages. The main aspect of his workshop language is intercultural communication.
Project Researcher/Youth Worker
Horia Trandafir is from Romania and works as Project Researcher and Youth worker. He is responsable for the I.T. department of the association.
He is an engineer in electronics and telecommunications and manages the website of Mobility Friends.
He was an E.V.S. volunteer for 2 times. He came to Portugal as an E.V.S. volunteer in Mobility Friends for 9 months.

Mobility Friends is involved in multiple strategic partnerships, such as "Collect.Recycle.Manufacture - CRM", “INTERMOBIL - Intercultural competence training for SMEs hosting European mobilities” and "transVETjob".

InterMobil meeting in Plymouth
Mobility Friends took part in a meeting for the strategic partnership INTERMOBIL - Intercultural competence training for SMEs hosting European mobilities in Plymouth, United Kingdom.

Our association took part in a meeting of the strategic partnership "By learning you will teach, by teaching you will learn". The meeting took place in Burgas, Bulgaria in September 2016.
Mobility Friends took part in a meeting between members of the Strategic Partnership(K.A.2) named "transVETjob" which took place in Erfurt, Germany.
